Ruby black tea, also known as ” Taiwan Tea Experiment Station No. 18″, was bred from Camellia sinensis (Taiwan) and Burma large-leaf variety. After more than 50 years of research and experimentation, it was successfully bred in 1999 and has become a unique black tea variety in the world. Sun Moon Lake area has a pleasant climate condition and warm and humid environment which benefits to the ruby tea produce in high quality. Especially, the ruby black tea in summer season has the best quality.

Sun Moon Lake Ruby Black Tea shows translucent red color and has a unique aroma of cinnamon and mint. It immediately emits rich and charming tea aroma with a hint of caramel sweetness when hot brewing. Sanyutang carefully selects the ruby black tea from Yuchi Township in Sun Moon Lake area. Our tea farmers only use hand-picked one-heart and two-leaf tea leaves of the top of tea trees and then make twist-compress-shaped black tea in professional and thoughtful ways.
